Ulrich Bindseil has been Director General of Market Infrastructure and Payments at the European Central Bank since November 2019. Before that, he was Director General of Market Operations (May 2012-October2019). Before joining the ECB in 1998, he had worked for the Deutsche Bundesbank (1994-97) and the European Monetary Institute (1997-98). He chairs the ECB's Market Infrastructure Board and is a member of the CPMI at the BIS. He is honorary professor at TU Berlin.
