Matthias Rottner is an economist at the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank. He conducts research in macroeconomics with a particular focus on monetary policy, macro-finance, CBDC, and machine learning. He has published in the Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Monetary Economics, and European Economic Review. He received his PhD from the European University Institute in 2021.
