Lorenzo Burlon is the Head of the Bank Lending Conditions Section of the Monetary Analysis Division in the DG Monetary Policy of the European Central Bank. He coordinates a team conducting analyses of the transmission of monetary policy via banks, assessing bank liquidity and funding conditions across the euro area and the functioning of the bank lending channel. He holds a Ph.D. from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His research interests cover monetary policy and its transmission mechanism, empirical banking and structural modelling.
