João Amador is deputy head of the Economics and Research Department of Banco de Portugal. He is also invited Associate Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics where he teaches Macroeconomic Policies and European Economy. His research interests are international trade, product market and productivity, macroeconomics, public finance, Portuguese economy, and European economy. He was head of workstream in the ESCB Competitiveness Research Network, dealing with Global Value Chains.
