Helmut Rainer is Professor of Economics at the University of Munich and Director of the Center for Labor and Demographic Economics of the ifo Institute. He has conducted theoretical and empirical research in labor economics, demographic economics and applied microeconomics. Next to this, he has been involved in several policy evaluations for ministries in Germany.
