Ethan Ilzetzki is an Associate Professor in Economics at the London School of Economics. He is a Fellow in the Centre for Economic Policy Research and an Affiliate of the Centre for Macroeconomics. His research focuses on macroeconomics, international economics, and fiscal policy. Ethan heads the CfM-CEPR panel of experts on the UK and EU economies. He serves on the editorial boards of the IMF Economic Review and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion: Israel Institute of Technology, an M.A. in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland. He has held policy and research positions at the International Monetary Fund and the U.S. Department of Treasury and visiting positions at the Federal Reserve Board, the World Bank, and the Bank of England.
