Damien Puy is a senior economist at the IMF Research Department and a consultant for Alteia, currently working on applications of big data and remote sensing to macroeconomic and development issues. He is an applied macroeconomist, with a strong research background in applied econometrics and financial economics. He held previous positions at the IMF Western Hemisphere Department and the Macroeconomic Policy Division of the OECD Economics Department. He holds a PhD in Economics from EUI and masters degrees in Economics and Finance from Sciences Po Paris and ESSEC Business School.
