Ángel Ubide is a Managing Director and Head of Economic Research for Global Fixed Income and Macro at Citadel LLC. He has worked for almost two decades in the financial services industry, first at Tudor Investment Corporation and later at the D. E. Shaw Group and Goldman Sachs. He has been deeply involved in the global economic policy debate, mostly as a Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (2009- 16). He is a member of the Advisory Council on Economic Affairs of the Spanish Government, of the Euro50 Group and of the Economic Club of New York. He started his career as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund. He received a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Zaragoza and his MA and PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His book, The Paradox of Risk, was published in 2017
